24/9-12 S (Frosk) is a discovery in the central part of the North Sea, 28 kilometres south of the Alvheim field. The water depth is 120 metres. Frosk was proven in 2018, and delineated by appraisal well 24/9-12 A. The reservoir contains oil in sandstone of Paleocene age in the Heimdal Formation. Test production to Alvheim started in August 2019. The development solution will be a tie-back to the Alvheim production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) via the Bøyla template. The plan for development and operation (PDO) is expected to be submitted in 2021.
