6407/2-6 S (Flyndretind) is a discovery on Haltenbanken in the eastern part of the Norwegian Sea, four kilometres northwest of the Mikkel field. The water depth in the area is 250 metres. The discovery was proven in 2010. The reservoir contains gas and condensate in Lower and Middle Jurassic sandstone in the Tofte and Tilje Formations, at a depth of 2,900 metres. The most likely development solution is a coordinated development with the Mikkel Sør discovery tied-back to the Åsgard B facility. A plan for development and operation (PDO) is expected to be submitted in late 2020.
