6407/2-6 S (Flyndretind) is a discovery on Haltenbanken in the eastern part of the Norwegian Sea, four kilometres northwest of the Mikkel field. The water depth is 250 metres. The discovery was proven in 2010. The reservoir contains gas and condensate in Lower and Middle Jurassic sandstone in the Tilje and Tofte Formations, at a depth of 2900 metres. The most likely development solution is a combined tie-back of several discoveries in the eastern part of Haltenbanken to the Åsgard B facility. The plan for development and operation (PDO) is expected to be submitted in late 2022.
